چکیده

Transportation sector and its impacts on climate change have received much attention over the last decade. Energy-optimal vehicle control algorithms such as adaptive cruise can potentially reduce fuel consumption consequential environmental impacts. Adaptive optimize vehicles’ speed to lower energy considering several constraints, including safety, stability, comfortability. A wide range of with different objectives optimization mechanisms been reported in literature. Due high diversity constraints objectives, a comprehensive study these is required. In recent literature reviews, there no summary algorithms’ features, classes, objectives. This paper presents holistic review energy-optimal algorithms. We gathered relevant publications from well-eminent journals. Information number will be presented provide data used references. For each paper, classes were extracted. Then classification based suggested, mathematical formulas representative studies are summarized required knowledge regarding modeling this field. The provides useful insight into development systems research field, revealing those scientific actors (i.e., authors, developers, institutions) that made biggest contribution development.

Safe and Optimal Adaptive Cruise Control

In a series of contributions Olderog et al. have formulated and verified safety controllers for a number of lane-maneuvers on multilane roads. Their work is characterized by great clarity and elegance partly due to the introduction of a special-purpose Multi-Lane Spatial Logic. In this paper, we want to illustrate the potential of current modelchecking technology for automatic synthesis of opti...

Optimal Adaptive Cruise Control with Guaranteed String Stability

A two-level Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) synthesis method is presented in this paper. At the upper level, desired vehicle acceleration is computed based on vehicle range and range rate measurement. At the lower (servo) level, an adaptive control algorithm is designed to ensure the vehicle follows the upper level acceleration command accurately. It is shown that the servo-level dynamics can be ...

An adaptive cruise control for connected energy-saving electric vehicles

We present an energy-saving cooperative adaptive cruise control (eco-CACC), which minimizes the energy consumption of autonomous electric vehicles. The approach leverages a trajectory preview from the preceding vehicle, and conciliates inter-vehicular distance reduction and speed profile smoothing. The problem is tackled with a nonlinear MPC approach. Rather than tracking a reference trajectory...

The influence of cruise control and adaptive cruise control on driving behaviour--a driving simulator study.

Although Cruise Control (CC) is available for most cars, no studies have been found which examine how this automation system influences driving behaviour. However, a relatively large number of studies have examined Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) which compared to CC includes also a distance control. Besides positive effects with regard to a better compliance to speed limits, there are also indic...

Vehicle Trajectory Impacts of Adaptive Cruise Control

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is assumed to have a potential to improve quality-of-service and safety and to reduce the environmental impact of the road traffic system. This paper use vehicle trajectories from traffic simulation to study impacts of ACC on vehicle acceleration and deceleration rates. The analysis is based on traffic simulations with car-following models including ACC functionali...
